Canes made of date palm cluster

The date palm tree, is very abudant and precious in Africa, and can reach 15–25 m tall. The tree grows where any other plants couldn't live and gives edible fruit. Palm tree is used for different construction purpose: Date palm leaves are commonly used for making huts, and the palm wood is used for posts and rafters for huts, dried leaf petioles are a source of cellulose pulp, used for walking sticks. From the dried leaf petioles we take the fibre from them are made rope, coarse cloth, and large hats. The feather is utilized to weaving functional items like rope or basket.
