Glass canes: The walking-stick or glass rod was a typical -frigger- product of the glassmaker. Tradition has it that walking-sticks were hung in prominent places in the parlour. Believed to attract germs, they were wiped every morning. Decorative pieces made in endless variety, they exhibit the diverse skills of the glass maker. The supestitions about those cane are various. no matter how legends and tradition originated around those glass canes: for me, they stays before everything an object of mastery.
